Note: Currently the Derby 101 program is scheduled for Tuesday nights and runs for 10 weeks but there is a possibility that it will move to Wednesdays starting in March. You will be updated as soon as this is confirmed.

Time: 7:00-9:00 pm (doors open at 6:45 to gear up.)

No skating experience necessary – bring your own protective gear and skates (we have a limited collection of gear to loan out on a first come, first served basis)

There will be a “Meet & Greet” Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Village on Argyle from 7:00-8:00 PM where you can meet us, try on gear, and get answers to your burning skate questions!

Roller Derby 101, a 12 week training course, interspersed with open skate nights, starts this September!   Open to skaters of all levels or competitive interests.  Also, refs in training skate for free!

Tuesday September 11, 7-8pm, The Village on Argyle: Rumbling Rage in the House! Rumbling Rage will be on site Tuesday Sept 11, so you can pick up your spanking fresh smelling roller gear!

PARD Peterborough Area Roller Derby is hosting a Fresh Meat Training Camp starting January 18th that will run for 12 weeks. There will be two Meat & Greet sessions held on January 4th and 11th from 7-9pm at St. James United Church on Romaine St in Ptbo.

At these sessions you will have a chance to meet and talk to the league members about all things derby, have your questions answered, buy some league merchandise and get fully geared up by our skate sponsor Twelve Thirty Four Skate Co.

The Fresh Meat Training Camp is $150 plus $30 for insurance, which is due at the Meat & Greet sessions. We accept cash, cheque -made out to Peterborough Area Roller Derby, or e-transfer -which can be sent to PtboAreaRD@gmail.com (using the password rollerderby) Insurance is paid directly to CRDi and the forms for that can be found on their website www.crdinfo.ca We will also have them at the Meat & Greet sessions.

Skate Maintenance Clinic!

PARD hosting a skate maintenance clinic on Wednesday March 16, 7-9pm, in conjunction with league sponsor, Twelve Thirty Four Skate Co. The clinic will be held at the Camp Kawartha Environment Centre, 2505 Pioneer Road, Peterborough, ON.

This clinic is geared towards the care of quad roller skates. Learn what all the different parts of your skates are, what they do and how to clean and care for them. Skateboarders may also be interested in coming out to learn how to clean bearings. Bring your skates along for a hands-on workshop.

Participation is free for league members — $5 for non-PARD members. Twelve Thirty Four Skate Co. will also have some items available for sale.
