Brady Crunch brings more Full Contact Roller Derby to Douro on June 20, 2015

“The Brady Crunch” is the second double header hosted by  Area 705 and Peterborough Roller Derby  on June 20, 2015, celebrating a blended derby family offering a third season of flat track roller derby at the Douro Arena.  The Brady Crunch -- Double header

This doubleheader offers a mix of derby family mashups from across Ontario. The first bout features the Area 705 / Peterborough Roller Derby roster taking on Toronto’s Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (D-VAS), followed by a coed derby match between Ottawa Men’s Slaughter Squad (with members of the Dolly Rogers) and London’s Pack Men (special guests from Forest City Derby Girls).

Tickets are only 10$ at the door for the entire evening, with children under 10 free. Come early if you want suicide seating – doors open at 3pm. Various local vendors will be on hand selling food and merchandise – there is no ATM on site, so please come prepared!

Bout whistles at 4pm & approximately 6pm.

The season continues with away games throughout the summer, and a home season closer in the Douro arena on August 22. August 22 also marks the announcement of the new name for the blended league, following the closure of the “Name This League” Contest. Name suggestions are being accepted between now, and midnight, July 31st, 2015 – visit the table at our bout for more information.

VOLUNTEERS & REFS WELCOME!

The Brady Crunch is coming — double header June 20, 2015

The Brady Crunch -- Double header(to the tune of “the Brady Bunch”)

Here’s the story of a Dawesome coach
Who was training up some very lovely girls.
All of them had shirts of sparkly blue, just like their panties,
And 705 was what they called their home.

Here’s the story, of a league called PRD,
Who was busy with skaters of their own,
They were awesome, skating all together,
Yet they were all alone.

Till the one day when the leagues started dating
And they knew it was much more than a hunch,
That this group must somehow form a family.
That’s the way we all became the Brady Crunch.

The Brady Crunch,
The Brady Crunch,
That’s the way we became the Brady Crunch.
