House PARDy Wrapped Up!

House PARDy Riot Squad July 29, 2017

Peterborough Area Roller Derby’s Riverside Riot Squad finished off their undefeated home season with a full contact double header House PARDy featuring four local leagues on July 29 at the Douro Arena and Community Centre.

In the first game, the Belleville Bombshells skated past Durham Region Roller Derby’s Motor City Madams  with a final score of 347:147.

In more local rivalry, PARDy’s  Riverside Riot Squad took over Lindsay’s Repeat Offenders with a score of 199 – 112.  MVPS for PARDy were The Dick-tator & Molly Spartan;  MVPS for Lindsay – MarWoww & Juniper Hill.  Fan Favourites were Car On Fyre (PARDY) and Juniper Hill (LRD).

The event was also in support of Bras Around the Building, hosted by Energy 99.7, with a number of gently used bras being collected towards the cause.

PARDy would like to thank the community for their support over this home season: fans, sponsors, volunteers, referees and non-skating officials, as well as our media partners Fresh Radio, Energy 99.7, and Cogeco.

The Riverside Riot Squad continues their away season on August 12 in Ottawa.

Finishing up the home season with a House PARDy!

PARDY’s Riverside Riot Squad finishes off their home season with a full contact double header House PARDy on July 29 at the Douro Arena.

This is an all ages event, with licensed area 19+.

No ATM on site so please bring cash!  There will be food and snacks available for purchase, as well as a number of local vendors, and league merchandise.

Jail Break’er Victory!

The Riverside Riot Squad came back from a short road trip to Lindsay with a win on June 10 in a well-matched bout versus Kingston’s Skateful Dead. Final score of 125 to 107.

We’re hosting our Riot Act: Roller Derby Double Headersecond home double header of the season on Saturday June 24,  at the Douro Arena and Community Centre at 2893 Highway 28.  Doors open at 4pm, with full contact games starting at 5 and 7pm.

In the first game PARDy hosts Northumberland Roller Girls’ “Ganaraska Gravediggers” versus Lindsay’s “Repeat Offenders”.   At 7pm, PARD’s “Riverside Riot Squad” will rematch with Grey Bruce  Roller Derby, who are travelling in from Owen Sound to hit the track.

New this year – save with advance ticket purchase! Tickets are $15 at the door, or get them in advance for $10  from a skater, from Things from Mom’s Basement on Charlotte St,  or online at: .  Children under 10 are free.    Also, stay tuned to our radio sponsors:  Fresh Radio 100.5 and Energy 99.7 for your chance to win tickets from the morning shows!

There will be a variety of items from local vendors, league merchandise, and snacks available for purchase and some fun family friendly games and entertainment at half-time.    New in 2017, our events will be licensed, with alcohol for purchase in a designated trackside area.  Age of Majority required. There is no ATM on site, so please bring cash.
