PARDy TIME Results are in!

It’s official.  PARDy TIME! EXCELLENT! was Excellent!

PARD’s Riverside Riot Squad took the win from Alliston’s Bombshell Battalion on May 26 in the hot & sweaty Douro Arena.

Final score was 363 to 211 for the Riot Squad.

Great home season opener!

PARD Peterborough Area Roller Derby is hosting it’s 6th Annual Outdoor Peterborough Pride Scrimmage Hangover Bangover 2017 on Sunday Sept 24th from 3-5pm at the Legacy Bowl in Peterborough. And as always, it is a CO-ED scrimmage!

It’s fun for the whole family! This year we are kicking things up a notch and adding a little colour to the day. 1005 Fresh Radio will be on-site supplying the rocking soundtrack for all the booty blocks and lead jams. Face painting for the kids! There will be a BBQ, drinks, snacks and cold treats available to purchase. And don’t forget …. special HANGOVER BANGOVER merch!!!

FRESH MEAT ON ITS WAY!

Do you want to get involved in roller derby? Of course you do!

PARD Peterborough Area Roller Derby is hosting a Fresh Meat Training Camp starting Sept 17th that will run for 12 weeks. There will be two Meat & Greet sessions held on Sept 5th and 12th from 6-9pm at The Village on Argyle located at 780 Argyle St in Peterborough.

At these sessions you will have a chance to meet and talk to the league members about all things derby, have your questions answered, buy some league merchandise and get fully geared up by Rumbling Rage Derby Shop.

The Fresh Meat Training Camp is $150 plus $30 for insurance, which is due at the Meat & Greet sessions. We accept cash, cheque -made out to Peterborough Area Roller Derby, or e-transfer -which can be sent to PtboAreaRD@gmail.com (using the password rollerderby) Insurance is paid directly to CRDi and the forms for that can be found on their websitewww.crdinfo.ca We will also have them at the Meat & Greet sessions.

House PARDy Wrapped Up!

House PARDy Riot Squad July 29, 2017

Peterborough Area Roller Derby’s Riverside Riot Squad finished off their undefeated home season with a full contact double header House PARDy featuring four local leagues on July 29 at the Douro Arena and Community Centre.

In the first game, the Belleville Bombshells skated past Durham Region Roller Derby’s Motor City Madams  with a final score of 347:147.

In more local rivalry, PARDy’s  Riverside Riot Squad took over Lindsay’s Repeat Offenders with a score of 199 – 112.  MVPS for PARDy were The Dick-tator & Molly Spartan;  MVPS for Lindsay – MarWoww & Juniper Hill.  Fan Favourites were Car On Fyre (PARDY) and Juniper Hill (LRD).

The event was also in support of Bras Around the Building, hosted by Energy 99.7, with a number of gently used bras being collected towards the cause.

PARDy would like to thank the community for their support over this home season: fans, sponsors, volunteers, referees and non-skating officials, as well as our media partners Fresh Radio, Energy 99.7, and Cogeco.

The Riverside Riot Squad continues their away season on August 12 in Ottawa.

PARDy is excited to be supporting Peterborough Challenger Baseball for our next Home bout June 24th.

Challenger is a chartered baseball program for kids, youth and adults with cognitive and developmental issues. With a donation of gently used baseball gear such as : Ball gloves, batters helmets in good condition from t-ball all the way up or Canada Day items such as T-Shirts, flags or hats you will receive $2 off your ticket price.

Normal ticket price is $15 at the door, or $10 in advance from a skater or from Things from Mom’s Basement on Charlotte St.  Kids 10 & under free.  Listen to Energy & Fresh Radio in the mornings this coming week for your chance to win free tickets too!
